Anti-Bullying
At Hillcross, we aim to be a bully-free zone, and teach children what bullying is and also what it isn't. We also teach children what to do if they think they are being bullied and provide them with strategies to deal with these challenges. First and foremost, they must speak out and report these instances so we can intervene (at the earliest stage) to stop it from continuing or from escalating. Without knowing, we can not help, so please encourage your child to report it to us immediately if they are (or they think they are) being targeted or bullied. There is a flow chart below which provides guidance on what to do during this troubling time. Most importantly, listen actively to what your child is saying, and if possible, write notes to refer back to when speaking to school.

From playgrounds to parliament, our homes to our phones, this Anti-Bullying Week let's 'Choose Respect' and bring an end to bullying which negatively impacts millions of young lives.
This year, we’ll empower children and young people to not resort to bullying, even when we disagree and remind adults to lead by example, online and offline.
Imagine a world where respect and kindness thrives — it’s not just a dream, it's in the choices we make. Join us this Anti-Bullying Week and commit to 'Choose Respect'. What will you choose?
See below for some of the amazing work children produced in response to Anti-Bullying Week this year. We are very proud of our children's creative thinking.
