This week we even met a police officer!

As always, we have had an exciting week, but things got even more exciting when we had a police officer visit Year One to talk about how to keep ourselves safe. This links well to 'Clever Never Goes', which is about stranger danger. The children loved looking at all his exciting gadgets and were fully invested when hearing about how to report serious incidents by dialling 999 in case of an emergency.

As musicians, they have continued to play a range of instruments and have wowed us with their musical talents during our Mini-Musician sessions and Big Sing.

As geographers, they also explored drawing maps, and linked these journeys to stories like 'What the Ladybird Heard' and 'Stick Man' by Julia Donaldson. What more could you want...combining stories and geography!

We also wrote sentences about different animals and, as theologists, explored what it means (and feels like) to belong. During our continuous provision, we worked on partitioning numbers into 3 or 4 parts!
