Music, maths, writing and more

The Year One superstars have had another busy week learning and exploring a range of things. Using our construction resources, the children worked collaboratively to build structures and also used the correct 3-D vocabulary to describe some of the shapes they created. 'Mini Musicians' is back for Year One! This means that they are being taught by Jen (our specialist music teacher), which is always a treat for the children (and staff alike)! Not only do they have a weekly music lesson to develop their music skills, but they also get to sing with Year 2 at the end of each Friday in Big Sing. As an ending to our Enormous Turnip work, they have also written alternative endings -the children blew us away with their imagination and green hat thinking. As mathematicians, the children have continued to develop their part-whole knowledge too and sure excelling in this skill now.
