Learning in action

Year One have had another great week learning together. Not only have they spent some time in our amazing Woodland Lodge reading a story, but they also enjoyed playing in our newly refurbished outdoor classroom at break time. It appears that we have some budding teachers in the making!  As mathematicians, the children have been securing their knowledge of more and less and loved using conkers (collected in our playground) to help them develop this skill! And who said phonics and learning to read couldn't be fun? Look at how the children sounded out and then blended to read words with the help of a car!
