Week 5- Rockets!

This week as physicians, we have been focusing on forces and in particular, how rockets fly. In addition to this, we have sequenced the journey of a rocket, labelled the different parts and even conducted a scientific experiment! As designers, we have had great fun creating our own rockets in the art room, learning how to design models before we create them and building rockets in the construction area outside. As active learners, we have represented the journey of a rocket by acting out the rocket launch. We then applied some of our mark-making and phonics skills by drawing and labelling rockets in the base room. As readers, we have explored the story 'Whatever Next' by Jill Murphy, and will continue with this focus next week.
