We're Going on a Shape Hunt!

As Mathematicians, the children in nursery had a wonderful time exploring the world outside the nursery unit, in search of 2D shapes. They worked collaboratively in pairs to search for them. We also learnt how to record amounts using a tally. We tallied our findings to find out which shape we saw the most. Across the week, we continued to explore shapes, counting the sides and vertices (corners) that each shape had, and then used a range of 2D shapes to create pictures.
