Autumn 2- Week 2: Stars

We had another fun filled week continuing to learn about space, this week with the focus on stars. As writers, we looked at the book 'How to catch a star' and sequenced the events in the story using the key vocabulary of: First, Next, Finally. We created flow maps and story maps to show our understanding of the book. As astrologers, we looked at the constellation of stars and can now name the main ones including: The Big Dipper and the Leo constellation. We then, as artists, used a range of media and materials to draw our own constellations and named them.
Whilst discussing the position of stars and planets we looked specifically at prepositional language. Then as communicators, we used language including: infront, behind, under, next to, ontop. I wonder if you can spot the picture where we are practising standing infront and behind each other.  I am sure you agree, it has been an actioned place week!
