Autumn 2, Week 5: The Nativity

We have enjoyed continuing our topic of 'Let's celebrate' with the focus this week being the Nativity story. Across the week, as theologists we explored the Christian story of the Nativity, learning a little more about the Christian faith. We then used this story and as writers, we created story maps to retell the story.

In addition to our work on the Nativity, we have also been exploring the changes in the natural world, focusing on weather and temperature. As scientists, we discussed changes in materials, exploring ice. We conducted an investigation around the question: 'How does ice melt?'.  Some of us thought we could use our hands, some of us thought we could put the ice on the radiator and others thought we could leave it out in the sun. Ultimately, we all agreed our ice needed to become warm in order to melt. We had such great fun with this investigation!
