Clubs: Extra-curricular
At Hillcross we are committed to offering a range of extra-curricular clubs. Places at school clubs are booked on a termly basis via ParentMail. Parents are notified about which clubs are running each term.
We work with a range of external providers who offer sporting activities such as football, basketball, tag rugby, cricket and gymnastics. We also have providers that offer clubs such as drama, dance, chess & coding. School staff also provide art club, choir and baking club.
Most of the clubs take place after school, although a small number may take place before school or at lunchtime. When selecting morning clubs please remember that children should not be left unattended in the school playground and should remain with their responsible adult until the club leader arrives.
Costs of the clubs vary depending on the provider and prices are listed on the timetable which is sent to families before the clubs become available for booking. The prices will also be visible when booking via ParentMail. The school does not accept any payments for external clubs via the school office.
If you have any questions regarding clubs please direct these to the school office.
Before booking, please note the Extra Curricular Clubs Terms and Conditions:
By registering your child for an after-school club, you acknowledge that enrollment is binding for the entire term. Parents/guardians are responsible for the full term fees, regardless of attendance. This obligation remains even if the child withdraws from the club, unless the club is cancelled by the school/provider.
Please ensure that you arrive promptly to collect your child from all extra-curricular clubs. If a child is not collected promptly and contact has not been made by the parent/guardian with a valid reason, we will charge your child’s ParentMail account for childcare. Parents may be charged £12.50 per half an hour (or part thereof) for late collection of children. Records are kept of the time a child is collected. Where necessary, these will be submitted as evidence for the EWO (Education Welfare Officer).
